reader challenge-item to room

jcrew better be sending some swag my way. here's ANOTHER lovely item to room example. although this time it was the room that reminded the designer of the outfit. i LOVE this clean, classic kitchen. reader and florida interior designer, erika mcpherson, designed this gorgeous kitchen and then saw the outfit that reminded her of it all.(she did a little photoshopping to see what it would look like with white. i think they're both great takes on the room) i couldn't seem to get the photo sized up enough. but i totally can see how that turquoise, coral necklace the model is wearing is reminiscent of the, same colored knobs used. and of course the bits of yellow is so perfect. the whole feel of room and outfit is crisp, sporty and sophisticated at once. i've always believed that it's imperative to create balance in a room. if you choose to do it through color; a cool colored room with a zing of warm yellow makes it all just sing. nice work erika! and i love seeing, KWID's "imperial trellis" off the wall and on to the table.
check out erika's work at her website urbangrace and her blog urbangraceinteriors

It's so interesting to see where people get their inspiration. Erika's kitchen is amazing and the outfit is great, too.
