Advice, like youth, probably just wasted on the young
i saw this on patricia gray's blog for the first time. i don't how i missed this back in '99 (oh, ya. i was neck deep in, and freaked out by, 'new baby' mode)
taken from a column in the chicago tribune written by mary schmich (and often, falsely, attributed to kurt vonnegut) it was later put in this form by producer, baz lurhmann. i just had to post it. i'm sure many of you have seen this. i had to snag it and store it here so that i could frequent it with ease. it's like all of those chain emails and black square magnets, but with visuals.

Metaphor, as in 'protect your self/person/soul' for 'sunscreen'.
